Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

PrepGenAICerts (prepgenaicerts.com) is an independent community learning platform for the Claude Certified Architect (CCA-F) exam. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic PBC.

2. Information we collect

• Account data: email address and password hash when you create an account.
• Google account data (if you sign in with Google): when you choose “Sign in with Google,” Google shares your email address, name, and profile picture with us. We use these only to create and authenticate your account and to personalise your dashboard.
• Usage data: pages visited, questions answered, quiz results, and study progress — stored to power spaced repetition, adaptive practice, and your dashboard.
• AI Tutor conversations: when you use the AI Tutor, we store the messages you send and the AI's responses, along with related metadata (which lesson or topic, and token usage). We use this to improve tutor quality, identify confusing content, and monitor service cost. These conversations are private to your account and are not shared with other users.
• Payment data: Razorpay processes all payments. We store only your order ID and payment status — never your card details.
• Analytics: Google Analytics 4 collects anonymised page-view and event data (no personally identifiable information).

3. How we use your information

• To operate your account and deliver the service (study tracking, spaced repetition, mock exams).
• To process premium upgrades and verify access.
• To improve platform content and features using aggregated, anonymised analytics.
• To send transactional emails (password reset, payment confirmation, account notices).
• To send product updates, study tips, and occasional promotional emails. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any such email or by emailing us; opting out does not affect transactional emails required to operate your account.

4. Data storage

Account, progress, and AI Tutor conversation data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS), protected by row-level security so each user can access only their own data. Progress data that does not require server persistence (e.g. flashcard state) is stored in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device. We retain account and conversation data for as long as your account is active; deleting your account removes it (see “Your rights” below).

5. Data sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Razorpay — payment processing
• Google Analytics — anonymised analytics
• Anthropic API — AI Tutor responses (your tutor queries are sent to Anthropic's API; see Anthropic's privacy policy)

6. Your rights

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data — including your study progress and AI Tutor conversations — at any time by emailing us, or by deleting your account in settings. We will action email deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication and Google Analytics cookies for anonymised usage measurement. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.

8. Google user data

When you sign in with Google, we access the following Google user data through Google's OAuth service: your email address, basic profile information (name and profile picture), and your Google account identifier. We use this data solely to authenticate you, create and maintain your account, and display your name and avatar in the app. This data is stored in our authentication provider (Supabase) and is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for advertising.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke our access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and you may delete all data we hold about you as described in “Your rights” above.
